A play about the beauty in life and death, about the thin line between living and existing.

Twenty year old Julie is set to give up life. No particular reason, except she is bored, detests her life and is looking for new excitements. She won’t do it alone though, she needs someone else to do it with. And so she meets August, a nineteen year old, who feels there is no reason for him to stay in this world. He sees Julie’s post in a chat and decides to join her on a journey towards death.

They meet on a snow capped Fjord in Norway, fully equipped for their journey, and create each other’s first significant relationship in a very long time. Julie’s game of life and death terrifies him, but at the same time intrigues him terribly and pulls him in. August’s solitude and insecurities intrigue her so much that at times, one can wonder whether she only uses him to satisfy her own needs.

Through one conversation to the next, with a tense feeling that death lurks them a short while ahead, they get to know each other, they learn to actually feel for the first time. This is how they pass what may be the last hours of their lives. Reflecting on the world and the little things in it.
