“With a fantastic understanding of tone and genre, “Macbitches” juggles headier themes while remaining a lively college drama, a riff on both Shakespeare and “All About Eve,” and a showcase for Dinolan’s blazing charisma. “

“Very funny”

“Finely acted dramedy”

“A tight 85-minute exercise in youthful ambition and the corrupting clashing of egos.”

“A revelatory star turn from Dinolan”

-THE NEW YORK TIMES, JUAN A. RAMIREZ

THEATRELY BEST OF 2022 - STANDOUT STAR: MARIE DINOLAN

"Bloody brilliant!" "Superb acting!" "I was on the edge of my seat!"

- Stage Buddy, Erin Kahn.

“Funny, piercing, and poignant”

- ThinkingTheatreNYC, John R. Ziegler and Leah Richards

"Macbitches is proof positive that some of the most exhilarating theater in New York City is being staged in Off-Off-Broadway houses."

"Seamlessly directed by Ella Jane New"

"Macbitches is a play that’s likely to linger in one’s mind long after the summer fades."

- Deirdre Donovan, Off Off Online

"I loved this play"

"Director Ella Jane New was faithful to the text, and the direction is so strong that the characters are distinct, not as “types,” which they are, but as an ensemble offering various interpretations of the role, from timid to murderous, both intentional and unconscious."

"Natasja Naarendorp excels as Lexi"

"Morgan Lui brings Cam to life in a way that reflects sensitivity to the feminist and gay tropes of the play as well as the ancient theme of unrequited love"

-Medium, Deborah Greenhut
