The Fool on a Journey Through Arcana, Wisconsin

Synopsis: Mystical. All-knowing. Divine. Such is the nature of the tarot — except for one card, who has no clue what the hell he’s doing. The Fool is an everyday teenager trapped in Wisconsin, but today, he gets to learn the truth about his future, his family, and the magically mundane world they inhabit.

Jude Cramer (Playwright / The Fool)

Jude Cramer (he/him) is a playwright whose work has been produced by The Tank, All Out Arts, and Vertigo Productions at Northwestern University. When he’s not writing plays, Jude is a NLGJA Award-winning and GLAAD Media Award-nominated journalist working as a staff writer for INTO Magazine, where he tells stories about entertainment and queer culture. By night, he’s also Miriam Webster, Brooklyn’s most grammatically correct drag queen. Follow his work at judecramer.com.

Lucy M. Harrington (Director)

Lucy M. Harrington (she/they) is a director and producer focused on developing new work. Recent directing credits include: ‘When a Faggot Finds a Flower’ by Jude Cramer at the Fresh Fruit Festival, ‘Supermarket 86’ by Mia Pelosi at NYTF (NYTF Nominee for Directing), ‘Last Song on Earth’ at WAVE Productions by Riley Glick, Danielle Llevada, and Kevin Park, and ‘Matilda’ at Northwestern University.

Hunter Anderson (The Lover & The Devil)

Hunter Anderson (they/them) is a NYC based creative. This is their first time performing at The Chain. Hunter was previously seen at The Tank as Micky in a staged reading of ‘Regicide’ by Jude Cramer. Nick Baum (The Hierophant)

Nick Baum is a Wisconsin raised and trained actor. Nick has been working on the East coast since 2021. They’ve been seen in ‘When a Faggot Finds a Flower’ (THE WILD PROJECT), ‘The Afterwife’ (THE ROUGH DRAFT FESTIVAL), ‘Romeo and Juliet’ (COMMONWEALTH SHAKESPEARE) and more across the East Coast. They are grateful to be working with Lucy and Jude again on another beautiful piece exploring the nuances of identity. Nick is also not very good at writing bios.

Bryanna Marie Felipe (The Empress & Strength)

Bryanna Marie Felipe is from Miami, FL. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2023. When she’s not in a theater production in NY, she is auditioning for TV and Film. She loves brewing coffee at home, reading/learning about anything holistic, and people watching in the city. Some of her favorite actors include Rachel Brosnahan, Tilda Swinton, and James McAvoy for their ability to completely transform with ease and empathy.

Meghan McNeive (The High Priestess)

Meghan McNeive is a New York City based actor originally from the suburbs of Chicago. Recent credits include Lenny in ‘THE EXIT INTERVIEW’ at Soho Playhouse and Elizabeth in ‘GOD’S FAVORITE’ at the New York Theatre Festival. Meghan is a graduate of Northwestern University, where she received her BA in Theatre.

Kyle Vásquez (The Emperor & The Beloved)

Kyle is excited to go on a 'Journey Through Arcana, Wisconsin.' Originally from Colombia, he grew up in Miami, Florida! Kyle's theatre credits include ‘West Side Story’ (Chino), ‘While I am Still Young’ (Luisito), and ‘Regicide’ (Katrina-Levell Winds). They have also worked in television production, their favorite credits being: ‘Feud,’ ‘American Horror Stories,’ and ‘The Morning Show.’ Thank you to everyone who has continued to help me achieve this crazy thing I do.

Liz Weiner (The Magician)

Liz Weiner (she/her/hers) is a Brooklyn-based actor born and raised in the teeniest state, Rhode Island. After spending 7 years studying and working in acting and improv out in Chicago she came back to the East Coast just for the pizza. Liz is particularly passionate about queer storytelling, improv comedy, and is a sucker for a period drama/classical texts. You can also find her slinging delicious cocktails and working as a freelance social media manager and digital designer (yes she's taking new clients).


The Immaculate Conception of Black Jesus in Sundown, Alabama

Synopsis: Hallelujah! Jesus is back and Jesus is black! But unfortunately for Baby Jesus, he was born in Sundown, Alabama to Sarah, the new Mary, and her ill-fated boyfriend, Joseph. Sarah and Joseph flippantly discuss religion, their future together, and make plans to escape Alabama.

Ryan Hartley (Director) uses a playful, psychophysical approach to building live performances. A graduate of Pepperdine University, Ryan is the founder of New Cosmopolitan Ensemble. Under this umbrella, he curated the New Queer Works series of virtual readings, and directed Nathaniel Foster's Gummy Worm at Hollywood Fringe Festival. Ryan most recently developed and directed City Rats by Franco Machado-Pesce, presented as part of New York Theater Festival. 

Jove Tripp-Thompson, a NYC-based writer and visual/audio artist, holds a BFA in Acting from Southern Utah University. Their diverse artistic pursuits include playwrighting, sound design, and visual art. Noteworthy projects include residencies in Nashville for BOXXXED WINE with The New Cosmopolitans, and Feb-Lab's RAPTUREPOSTING with First Kiss Theatre. Their play THAT SH*T EATING GRIN was a finalist for New Relic Theatre's Myth Open Call. Jove's writing is likened to John Waters and Martin McDonagh, influenced heavily by the In-Yer-Face theater movement. Their visual art has garnered awards, published in Kolob Canyon Review ('21, '23), and featured in NY galleries such as NYLAAT ('23) and PTM Contemporary ('23). Jove runs a publication for his writing, BY JOVE, where he shares drafts, new works, and upcoming performances. Itsbyjove.substack.com

James DiSandro is a Brooklyn-based actor originally from Milton, Massachusetts. He studied at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio where he received a bachelor's degree in Drama and Philosophy. In the city, James teaches theatre to elementary school students through an educational theatre company called "Mainstages", where he encourages a fun and improv-based approach to performance. His most recent credit is as Cad in Fishmarket Theatre's Insertion. He is grateful for the opportunity to work on this production and gives his thanks to all involved! 

Erin Viets (She/They) is a New York-based actor, Shakespeare teacher, and stage combat choreographer. Previous acting credits include: Macbeth/Macduff/Duncan/others in wayward son’s debut production of Macbeth, Lexi in macbitches (Unicorn Theatre), Miriam in Marys Seacole (Unicorn Theatre). They would like to thank their friends and family for being so supportive. Hallelujah!
