Forty-Second Street Forever

Written and Directed by Peter Rowan

Synopsis: The play concerns the last New York City, Forty-second Street grindhouse theater before it closed for good (or did it?) in 1994 because of Giuliani, Disney, and greed.

PETER QUINONES - John

Peter is grateful to Peter Rowan to be part of his production with Tommy. Peter is a former NY State Trooper and 9-11 first responder who is now a SAG-AFTRA and is also Equity eligible. He has performed in almost 100 plays and just finished a production of “Slit My Wrists” and, next month, productions of 2 dramatic plays, “State Of Mind” and the return of “Skyline Returns.” His other credits include The King & I, Forgotten Child, Sesame Street, All My Children, Ten Questions, and Ebenezer Travels. Peter is grateful for continued support and love from family and friends, especially his fiancée. Instagram grandpa_haha 

TOMMY McFARLAND - Sean 

Tommy McFarland is a graduate of the Centre College (Danville, KY) Dramatic Arts Program. He also studied at the Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance in London, England. I am Local to New York, Tommy has gravitated towards comedy and improv, and he was fortunate to be a part of the sketch comedy show “A Sketch of New York.” @tommymcfarland76 -insta

PETER ROWAN - Writer and Director

Peter is proud and happy to be back at the Chain Theatre with his new play Forty-Second Street Forever. In 2023, his one act Dance Club appeared in the Chain Theatre Winter Festival. In addition, he wrote, acted, and directed the award winning feature film (Bare Bones Film Festival 2002) The House on the Hill based on Wes Craven and Sean S. Cunningham’s 1972 exploitation film The Last House on The Left. He also wore three hats on A Rockaway Summer, an award winning short set in the summer of 1967. As an actor, he appeared as the Wedding Photographer in the film Mona Lisa Smile.


Over My Dead Body

Written and Directed by Esther Caporale

Synopsis: Francine Sempervive is accustomed to her older sister Carmela's diva dramas. But this time the plan to marry Francine off devolves into a dark comedy. A very dark drag comedy, with an entirely unexpected twist.

Esther Caporale (Playwright and Director) 

Miss Caporale's dynamic career began with a long association with director Irvin Kershner (Empire Strikes Back, Never Say Never Again), which led her to wear several hats in the entertainment business. Along with writing and a distinguished background in film and television, Miss Caporale is also a highly respected dialect coach for foreign actors. After a successful collaboration with the actor Edu Diaz for Twin Towers,  she is now proud to offer her dark comedy, Over My Dead Body. Follow Esther on Instagram at @estherfcaporale.

Edu Díaz (Actor and Producer) 

Edu is a multi-awarded Fulbright Alumni from The Canary Islands based in New York City. Defined as a crafty theatermaker, he just wrapped up the first season of his acclaimed solo show, A Drag Is Born, in which he honors one facet of his talents as a drag performer. Edu was also the producer and actor of Esther Caporale’s moving piece Twin Towers, winner of the SPF at The Players Theatre. Follow Edu on Instagram at @edudiazactor.

Tinna Hoffmann (Actress) 

Tinna is an internationally awarded dancer, choreographer, and actress from Denmark with decades of training and experience based in New York City. A finalist in the World Dance Championship, she choreographed and danced in Dancing With The Stars (Italy) for three seasons until 2020. In New York, Tinna has performed in legendary venues such as the Apollo Theater as she becomes part of the City's professional artistic environment. Follow Tinna on Instagram at @tinnahoffmann.

Edward Gibbons-Brown (Actor)

Edward is a passionate and dedicated multi-hyphenate theatrical artist. He thanks Edu for bringing him on board for this delightful piece… and Esther, of course, for writing it! Pastiche

Written and Directed by Kayla Hense

Synopsis: In three scenes, the symbolism of objects is explored within a relationship between two people. The first, “Door,” questions what it means to enter and exit somewhere, or something. The second scene, “Train,” asks what it means to go from one place to another, and why we do it. The final scene, “Coaster,” is about the way things look contrapositive to what they are.

Kayla Hense (Playwright/Director): Kayla Hense is an actor and writer based in New York. After studying philosophy and art history at school, she trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. She has additionally attended various acting workshops under instructors from the Royal Shakespeare Company and Juilliard. Other writing credits include publication in literary journals and online magazines. Pastiche is her NYC playwriting debut, as well as her debut in theatre directing, and she is tremendously grateful to the Chain Theatre, her cast and her crew for all the work they’ve done to make this possible! 

Megan Billings (Assistant Director): Megan Billings is an actress-singer-dancer in NYC. Previous credits include The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Titanic, The Music Man, The Polar Express, and Magic-A Ballroom Musicalwww.meganbillings.com

Francesca Pecchi (Stage Manager): Francesca Pecchi is an Italian actor and stage manager, born and raised in Brussels, Belgium. In 2021, she relocated to NYC where she graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. In March 2024, she co-founded her own production company, Thymos Productions, which launched their first original show The Suppliant Maidens at the New York Theater Festival. Some of her acting credits include Vain in The Little Prince, Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz, Genie in Aladdin, William Dunn in Men on Boats and Chorus in Trojan Womenfrancescapecchi.com 

Isabel Sanchez (Woman in “Door”): Isabel Sanchez is a New York based actor and a recent college graduate from the University at Albany. She will be making her New York stage debut as part of the 2024 Chain Theater One Act Festival. Her recent theater credits include Far, Far Better Things (Dani, WAM Theater), The Taming of the Shrew (Petruchio, UAlbany Theater), What the Constitution Means to Me (Debater, Capital Repertory Theater) and The Wolves (#46, UAlbany Theater). Her short film credits include Morning Dr. Kyudi, Laser-Focused, Al Otro Lado, C- Student, and Unconditional. DeAundre Addison (Man in “Door”): DeAundre Addison is a recent graduate of the two-year Meisner program at the William Esper Studio in New York. This will be his New York stage debut. Some of his previous credits include Macbeth, Students Are Heroes, Suga Babies, and The Warrior Project. When he’s not acting, he’s behind the scenes writing and directing. He hopes to leave people with a deeper understanding of the human experience.

Paige Flottman (Woman in “Train”): Paige Flottman is a Manhattan based actor with an emphasis in new work development and classical theater. Recent NY credits include The Guy Who Killed Bigfoot (Fresh Fruit Festival), Revolution 10 (Chain One Act Festival), The Oresteia (Gallery Players) and Remembering Morgan (DUAF). Upcoming is Courtney Taylor’s Revelations... at LimeFest. Many thanks to her endlessly supportive friends and the team working on bringing this story to life!

Christopher Pio (Man in “Train”): Christopher Pio is thankful and excited to be a part of Pastiche. He has been a part of numerous off-Broadway and off off-Broadway productions. He wants to thank everyone in the cast and crew for their time and dedication to making Pastiche possible!

Elizabeth Cappuccino (Woman in “Coaster”): Elizabeth Cappuccino is an actor and director based in New York. After choosing to pursue a career in acting instead of ballet, she attended and graduated NYU Tisch School of the Arts with Honors. Her TV/Film credits include but are not limited to Super Dark Times, Otherhood, Jessica Jones, Broad City, Orange Is the New Black, Next, and Showtime’s The First Lady. Her work as a director and producer has been featured in festivals such as NoBudge, Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, Greenpoint Film Festival, and Santa Fe International Film Festival.  

Alex Falcao (Man in “Coaster”): Alex Falcao was born in Brazil and raised in New Jersey. He is a fairly new father to a beautiful and smart son, and he is excited to be working again on stage. He has previously done stage work in NY and NJ and studied at the Terry Knickerbocker Studio Conservatory. He has a passion for skateboarding and will often take his board traveling with him to different parts of the world.
