Synopsis: "He's Different" delves into the intricacies of dating in the modern world, where feminist ideals collide with the allure of potential. Liv, our protagonist, is fed up with witnessing her friends repeatedly fall for mediocre men. As she navigates the complexities of modern dating, Liv encounters Travis, a seemingly different breed of man — intelligent, cultured, and intriguing. But just as sparks begin to fly, fate intervenes, leaving Liv questioning the true nature of attraction and the allure of potential.

Arianna Wellmoney as Liv

Arianna Wellmoney (she/her) is an actor and playwright originally from Milan, Italy. She is thrilled to be back on stage with this talented group of artists. Recent acting credits: Dave's Retro Video Lab (web series by Emmy Award Winning Director David Distinti), La Santera (TV Pilot), Runts (Off Broadway Play) and True Drama (Feature Film). She would like to thank her friends and family for the support over the years. 

Kiamba Doyling as Travis

Kiamba Doyling (he/him), an actor native of the Bronx, NY, is excited about portraying "Travis" again after originating the role in June at the Rogue Theater Festival. He has been watching "Sex and the City" and "90 Day Fiancé" to research and study modern day relationships for this play. Previously, Doyling showcased his talent in productions such as "Bodega Dreams" at HVA Theater in Harlem, NY and “Let Me Love You” at the Flea Theater.  Doyling approaches his craft with dedication and enthusiasm, eager to bring depth and authenticity to every role he undertakes. He also likes yogurt on his salad.

Megan Catalina as Naomi

Megan Catalina, originally from Southern California, is a graduate of Orange County School of the Arts and received her BA in Theatre Arts from CSU Fullerton. Some of her favorite credits include Viola (Twelfth Night), Necrophorus (Nine), and Jo March (Little Women). She is deeply passionate about new works and devised/physical theater and has created 3 devised productions including Silent Joy, an award-winning Hollywood Fringe Festival production. James Nash as Hugh

James Nash is a New York City based actor and voice over actor and is so excited to be back playing Hugh Hefner Guy in He's Different! Originally from Chicago, James has been living and performing in New York City for the past 3 years. He is a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, CT where he received a BA in theater and business (and was not in a frat despite what everyone might think haha). He can be seen performing sketch comedy at the Players Theater with his sketch group “Sponsored By:” and his recent theater credits include: Sir William (u/s Sir Kent) with Frog and Peach Shakespeare Company and as Romeo with Shakespeare on the Sound. Bradly Valenzuela, Director

Bradly Valenzuela went to school in Southern California at California State University, Fullerton. He received his degree in Theatre with an Emphasis in Directing. Ever since moving to New York, Bradly’s passion for theater has only grown, and he is thrilled to direct original work! He has recently produced and directed an original production of "The Devil and the Playwright" at Theater for the New City, written by Steven J. Harris, as well as directing original works "I'm Sorry I Can't Make It" and "I Have Friends!". His original play "Pieces of People: A Two-Sided Eulogy" had its premiere at the New York Theater Festival in July.

Arianna Wellmoney, Playwright

Arianna Wellmoney (she/her) is an actor and playwright originally from Milan, Italy, where she earned her diploma in business and accounting (which she clearly does not put to use). Wellmoney wrote and starred in “Extraordinary Aliens”, performed both in New York and Los Angeles. In 2023, she wrote and acted in "I'm sorry, I can't make it. My uncle's hamster has passed and I am reading the eulogy at the funeral" at OpenJar. Her latest work,"He's Different" is her pride and joy. Oh, Snap!

Directed by Julian Guzman Abril

Synopsis: "Oh, Snap!" is a sweet romantic comedy about two ex-mystical beings just trying to make it work. When GENE and MERCY give up their lives as a genie and a mermaid to become human, they find themselves floundering a bit a year later. MERCY, now eight months pregnant, is facing the limitations of her human body, while GENE is lamenting the fact that he can't just magically snap his fingers to solve problems. Together they try to see past these difficulties and reflect on the joys their human bodies can provide.

Riley Fee as Gene

Riley is a NYC-based actor-writer. He is a lover of films with a great ensemble cast (“Clue” and “Best in Show” at the top of the list). Riley graduated from The Barrow Group’s one-year acting conservatory and has been a proud member of the 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company since 2019. Riley has appeared in various Off-Broadway shows and short films. Most recently, Riley appeared on Ryan Murphy’s FX series “Feud: Capote vs. The Swans.”

Julian Guzman Abril - Director

Julian is a New York City-based actor and has been a proud member of Theatre 68 since 2019. You can check out Julian in the short-film “Submarino,” directed by Henry Lopez and available on Amazon Prime. Julian played a student in the first two seasons of the “Gossip Girl” reboot, available on HBO Max. He has also participated in the 68 Cent Crew Theater’s annual one-act festival in both L.A. and New York City. Most recently, Julian played Raul in the short film “River,” which is making its debut in many festivals around the country.

Kathryn Loggins as Mercy - Playwright

Kathryn is an actor and writer based in Brooklyn. Several of her one-act plays have been produced in theaters around NYC including most recently “Duck, Duck, Pigeon” at the Players Theatre Short Play Festival. She has been a proud member of Theatre 68 NY for eight years and performed in numerous of their productions. She thanks you for coming out and supporting live theater!
