Gifted Child

Written Kai Xing Mun

Directed by Veronica Dang

Synopsis: It’s time for the annual talent show at Gifted Children Academy. Can four gifted kids figure out how to get rid of the poltergeist in their school’s auditorium in time for the show to go on?

Annie, Susie, and Clay have their own reasons for wanting to win the talent show by any means, but Jake just wants to finally have friends. When Jake reveals his hidden talent, the ghost of Tina appears. Tina was the model student, school star, and last year’s talent show winner till she died on stage. Now that Tina has a conduit to the physical realm, she’s determined to ruin the show and school out of vengeance. Can these still living and gifted kids stop the poltergeist in time to save the performance? Will they learn that perhaps their worth and joy isn’t always connected to money, trophies, and fame? Maybe they can even learn the importance of friendship being kind and true to yourself.
